Not So Silly Sausage
I was asked by Evans Brothers to produce some character sketches for a book. When they asked me if I could draw sausages, I said WHAT? This has definitely been the silliest but fun book I've ever had to do! It just proves that even a sausage can become a character when you give them eyes and a mouth! I had great fun designing the broccoli family and the beans facial expressions, which took me ages. The story is fun to read and the pictures really bring it to life (if I say so myself!) It always goes down well with year 1's.
How Long Did it Take to Draw?
I had a very short deadline so the pressure was on. Not having many words to work with made my job harder but I managed to complete everything in 5 weeks.(which was a very short time - funny thinking back as my 1st book Little Red Riding Hood took me months and months get right!)
